Tom Sawyer Model-Based Engineering, Web Edition

Release 2.1.0

DateMarch 11, 2026
StatusGeneral

Overview

This release is designed for No Magic 2024x Refresh3 HF1 and 2026x Golden HF1 including Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, and Teamwork Cloud. This release includes several layout improvements including support for slope end routing to ports and automatic application of incremental layout after show, hide, and filter actions.

Tom Sawyer Model-Based Engineering has been updated to use Tom Sawyer Perspectives 13.5.0. Layout improvements enhance clarity and reduce visual disruption when expanding nodes. Disconnected nodes now have improved placement upon the expansion of nodes. In addition, incremental layout is applied more effectively, minimizing unnecessary movement so existing nodes stay closer to their original positions. You can see more details about Tom Sawyer Perspectives 13.5.0 here. Also, many third-party libraries have been updated to eliminate potential vulnerabilities.

Overview

This release is designed for No Magic 2024x and introduces a separate installer for Tom Sawyer Model-Based Engineering, a web-based integration with No Magic Teamwork Cloud and desktop integration with MagicDraw and Cameo Systems Modeler to automatically lay out and render multiple SysML v1 diagram types.

Tom Sawyer Model-Based Engineering has been updated to use Tom Sawyer Perspectives 13.3.1. With this update, hierarchical layout has been improved to reduce edge crossings up to 30-50% on average. Also, node placement and edge routing were improved to indicate the flow of edges in the drawing. We improved compaction in incremental orthogonal layout in some cases. Additionally, many third-party libraries have been updated to eliminate potential vulnerabilities. Model-Based Engineering now supports Apple macOS 26.

Tom Sawyer Model-Based Engineering was previously released as part of Tom Sawyer Perspectives starting with Perspectives 8.0.0. You can see more details about previous releases here.
